Malouda vows to expose Chelsea details

Chelsea outcast Florent Malouda has vowed to "explode" the details of his first-team exile just as soon as his contract with the European champions ends next summer.

Malouda, 32, has not appeared for the first team since a pre-season friendly at the end of July after being ordered to train alongside the youngsters in the club's youth academy for the remaining year of his contract.

Reports speculated the Chelsea hierarchy were unhappy the French international did not secure a move away from Stamford Bridge with rumours a switch to Brazilian club Santos broke down due to Malouda's wage demands. The Champions League winner insists otherwise.

"The details, I'm going to explode them when I'm free, but the strategy employed is to make me look like a player who wants to be paid a lot," Malouda told France-Guyane. "It's underhand, but it makes me smile more than anything else because it shows just how much esteem those people have for me."

Malouda brought public attention to his situation by tweeting a picture of the entrance to the west London club's Under-21 team training facility in September, adding: "This is where I'll train for my last season with the blues [sic]."

Rather than push the former Lyon man towards the exit, however, Malouda said the move had merely encouraged him to harden his own stance.

"If you're excluded for a whole year, it's very, very long. You have to be ready mentally. All of this is being done to break me mentally. In reality, it motivates me hugely," the Guyana-born midfielder explained, though - still under contract - he was unwilling to go further.

"Naturally, I have to keep things back. I've respected that up to now, and so I'll continue to do so."
