Ancelotti: PSG future undecided

Paris Saint-Germain manager Carlo Ancelotti has admitted there is uncertainty surrounding his future at the club, claiming it is out of his hands.

• Blog: PSG overcome Bastia

Arsenal's Arsene Wenger and Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho have both been linked as potential replacements for the Italian, with PSG's fiercely ambitious owners keen to establish the French side as a force in European football.

And with his contract due to expire at the end of the season the former Chelsea and AC Milan boss isn't sure if the option of an additional year will be offered or not.

"Depending on where we finish, I have an extra year on my contract if, at the end of the season, PSG are in the top three of Ligue 1 and we qualify for the Champions League," he told L'Equipe.

"I want to stay. But I know that at the end of the season, the club will decide if they are happy or not with my work. And if they are not happy..."

Despite the continuing lack of clarification, Ancelotti is happy to focus on the job in hand, with PSG leading the Ligue 1 table by six points and into the knockout stages of the Champions League.

"The thing is simple," he said. "We will take stock at the end of the season, and if the club are happy, and me too, we will continue.

"Otherwise there is no other choice. It's one or the other. I am very happy here, but if the club are not happy, I have no problem in changing."
