Stuttgart sign Sararer

One day after the transfer deadline Stuttgart have announced the signing of Turkey international Sercan Sararer in a deal which will go through at the end of the season.

Stuttgart have begun their preparations for next season early with the signing of Sercan Sararer

The 23-year-old midfielder will join on a free transfer from relegation-threatened Greuther Furth on a four-year deal.

Stuttgart general manager Fredi Bobic said: “Sercan Sararer is a player who will give us another attacking option. Despite his young age he is relatively experienced and knows the Bundesliga very well.”

Sararer has been at Furth since he was 10 years old and in 101 professional games has scored 19 goals and provided 19 assists.

Furth president Helmut Hack has expressed displeasure at losing the Turkish midfielder after such lengthy negotiations.

“For one-and-a-half years we have fought for Sercan to stay here,” he said. “In our talks we have shown him many possibilities at our club. Thus it is a shame he has chosen to make a different decision but we have to accept it.”
