Frimpong joins Fulham on loan

Fulham have confirmed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong, on loan for the rest of the season.

Emmanuel Frimpong is hoping to force his way back into Arsene Wenger's plans
Emmanuel Frimpong is a tough-tackling midfielder

Frimpong, 21, has recently returned from a six-week loan spell with Championship side Charlton Athletic, where he featured six times for the Addicks.

The Ghanaian-born youngster has failed to make the breakthrough into the Arsenal first-team and suffered a seven-month injury lay-off in September 2012 after a cruciate knee injury while on loan at Wolves.

The Cottagers revealed the move on their official Twitter feed, with Frimpong also acknowledging it by writing: "Fulham here I come''.

A statement on the Arsenal website read: "Everyone at the Club wishes Emmanuel the best of luck during his time with Fulham."
