Wolfsburg centre-back Emanuel Pogatetz could return to the Premier League, according to German magazine kicker.
It is reported Pogatetz's agent is in England to hold talks with a number of clubs, with Fulham said to be favourites to land his signature.
The former Middlesbrough defender, 31, joined Wolfsburg from Hannover 96 last summer, but has since failed to secure a spot in the starting XI.
"Emi must be patient now and wait for his chance. When he gets his chance he has to take it,” Wolfsburg boss Dieter Hecking told Wolfsburger Allgemeine earlier this week.
The Wolfsburg boss explained that Simon Kjaer, Alexander Madlung and Naldo were ahead of Pogatetz in the pecking order.
The Austria international, whom Steve McLaren once said "never, ever, gives less than 300% in performances" and who had been nicknamed "Mad Dog" during his time at Middlesbrough, could now return to the Premier League.
