Giggs undecided on future

Ryan Giggs has refused to rule out retirement at the end of the season, saying "I will see how I feel".

Giggs, 39, has made 16 appearances in all competitions this season and insists any decision on his future will be taken in Manchester United's best interests as well as his own.

The veteran star has been signing one-year deals for several seasons and a new contract would mean playing into his 40s but he underlined his ability to compete at the top level with an assist for Robin van Persie in United's FA Cup draw with West Ham last weekend.

He told the Sunday People: "I will see how I feel and see how I am contributing, and then I will sit down and talk to the manager.

"I am cool with that. I am enjoying my football at the moment, but the end of the season is a few months away and you never know what will happen. I have to contribute as well as enjoying both training and playing.

"In a way I suppose I get an easier ride than some of the younger lads, and that's because the manager recognises I have different needs at this point.

"But don't get me wrong, my fitness has to be spot on, otherwise I just couldn't compete with the rest of the guys either in training or during matches."
