Galliani: Boateng and Abate will not leave

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insists the club will not part with Kevin-Prince Boateng or Ignazio Abate in January, though reports in Italy continue to speculate that the pair will exit San Siro.

Kevin-Prince Boateng is seen as vital to AC Milan's future

Boateng has been linked with Galatasaray recently, while Abate has garnered interest from Zenit St Petersburg, who ultimately made an offer for the full-back.

Galliani dismissed the notion that either player will leave Milan, and revealed the club’s ambition to sign Catania midfielder Francesco Lodi.

"Kevin-Prince Boateng is going nowhere. We want Francesco Lodi, have no interest in Maarten Stekelenburg, while we rejected Zenit (St Petersburg)'s offer for Ignazio Abate," Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.

"Boateng is a part of the present and the future of Milan. Galatasaray were here to talk to us for different reasons. Nobody has asked us for Boateng and if an offer were to come in, we would say no."

Galliani also shrugged off talk that Galatasaray are keen on Luca Antonini, while Milan are said to be after Parma defender Cristian Zaccardo.

"I don't think Abate and Antonini will leave,” he added. “Zenit made an offer for Abate, but we rejected it. Cristian Zaccardo from Parma? Zaccardo will absolutely not join Milan."
