Sunderland complete N'Diaye deal

Sunderland have confirmed the signing of French midfielder Alfred N’Diaye from Bursaspor for an undisclosed fee.

N’Diaye, 22, joined the Green Crocodiles from French side Nancy at a reported cost of €3 million in 2011 and became an integral part of the side. Speaking earlier in the week, director of press and fan relations for Bursaspor, Selçuk Eren, confirmed the player’s desire to move to the Premier League.

The France Under-21 international has signed a three-and-a-half-year-deal with the Wearsiders for a fee believed to be worth up to £4 million and could make his debut on Saturday at home to West Ham United.

“Alfred is a strong, powerful young player and as such can offer us more strength in depth,” O’Neill told the club’s official website. “He will give us options and I’m delighted that we have been able to bring him to the club.”

Admitting it was a childhood dream to play in England, N'Diaye is also eager to play a part in Saturday's home game against West Ham United.

“I am very happy to sign for Sunderland and get the chance to play in the Premier League; it was my dream when I was young and I’m so happy to be here," he told the club's official website. "I watch the Barclays Premier League all of the time.

"I looked at Sunderland many times - it’s the best league in the world. It’s very good, very beautiful, and everybody has been very nice to me. Everything is fantastic. Everybody tells me Sunderland fans are crazy, fanatical fans, and with Saturday’s game at home, I hope it is possible to play and experience that passion! “

Meanwhile widespread reports suggest the Black Cats are also attempting to secure a deal for Swansea striker Danny Graham.  The 27-year-old began his career at nearby Middlesbrough and joined Swansea from Watford in 2011 for a fee of £3.5 million.

Having struggled to earn a starting place this season due to the impressive form of Spanish star Michu, the Gateshead born striker confirmed recently his intention to hold talks over his future with Swans manager Michael Laudrup.
