QPR's Mbia warns Bosingwa

Stephane Mbia has condemned Jose Bosingwa's attitude after the QPR defender refused to sit on the bench in his side's win over Fulham two weeks ago.

Bosingwa, 30, was fined two weeks' wages (£130,000) and has failed to return to the QPR line-up since the incident.

Harry Redknapp then launched an attack on the club's 'overpaid players' and Mbia has urged his team-mate to respect the manager's decisions.

"If the manager tells me to sit on the bench I will do it," Mbia said. "It's up the the manager to make the decisions. If he wants you to sit on the bench you sit on the bench.

"It's a very difficult and complicated situation. Hopefully at the end of the day the club and player can sort it out as Jose is a very good player."

QPR slipped to bottom place after their 2-1 defeat at the hands of West Brom on Wednesday with fixtures against Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham and Manchester City in the coming weeks making the battle to avoid relegation even more difficult.

But midfielder Mbia believes Redknapp, who guided QPR to three draws and a win from his opening four matches in charge, can boost the R's survival hopes.

"I believe in him," he said. "I believe he is the man to get us out of trouble. It's up to the players to give 100 per cent, but the manager will give a lot to us.

"He will enable the players to give the best of themselves. He has helped me a lot already. He has try to make me a more intelligent player. He wants me to be more careful on the pitch so I don't pick up needless yellow and red cards.

"I definitely think we can stay up. The gaffer gives us so much confidence, he uses so many different words, I know we can do it."
