Besiktas claim deal for Nene

Turkish side Besiktas have reportedly reached an agreement to bring out-of-favour Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Nene to Istanbul, though the player himself denies a deal has been agreed.

Nene has been linked with a January transfer

The Brazilian, 31, announced earlier this month he hoped to quit PSG during the January transfer window after being frozen out of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

Turkish media are now reporting Besiktas are willing to end the player’s Parc des Princes plight. "If our conditions are met, the transfer will go through," Besiktas president Fikret Orman told news channel NTV.

However, Nene - who has also been linked with Inter Milan, Galatasaray and a host of Brazilian clubs - declared the future direction of his career had yet to be decided.

"Nothing’s done yet," he tweeted on his official Twitter account. "Gilvan Costa [the player’s agent] continues to negotiate with clubs in Brazil and elsewhere."

The ex-Monaco player, who has finished PSG’s top scorer in the two Ligue 1 seasons since his 2010 move from the principality, was left out of Ancelotti’s squad for the final four league games of the year after publicly showing his displeasure at being used for only the last two minutes of his team’s Champions League win over Porto on December 4.

PSG are due to fly to Qatar on December 28 for a winter training camp though Nene, who is currently on holiday in his native country, is unlikely to join the squad.
