Sydney FC re-sign young A-League trio

Sydney FC have received a boost as they attempt to climb off the bottom of the A-League ladder with the club re-signing three of their brightest young players.

Terry Antonis, Rhyan Grant and Sebastian Ryall - aged 19, 21 and 23 respectively - announced on Friday they have penned new two-year deals.

The trio are in their third season together at the Sky Blues, with coach Frank Farina regarding them as crucial to the club's long-term success.

Attacking midfielder Antonis won his first three caps for the Socceroos' East Asian Cup qualifiers in Hong Kong earlier this month.

Sydney will be trying to bounce back from a 2-0 derby loss to Western Sydney last weekend when they travel to Newcastle on Saturday to play the Jets.

Alessandro Del Piero is set to start against the Jets after struggling with a hamstring injury, while Pascal Bosschaart has been ruled out with a calf strain.
