Friday night's Serie A fixture between Cagliari and Juventus will be held in Parma amid fresh safety concerns over the original venue.
The match needed to be moved from the Stadio Is Arenas after the local council refused to issue the temporary safety certificate needed in order to allow supporters to attend the match.
Given the option of moving location or playing behind closed doors, the Rossoblu - having already sold around 15,000 tickets - have chosen to switch to Parma's Stadio Ennio Tardini according to a statement released on Wednesday.
That means the 'home' fans will have to make a round trip of around 800 miles from the island of Sardinia to the north of mainland Italy if they want to attend the match.
Last season's corresponding fixture was also played on neutral ground in Trieste as Juventus took the points necessary to secure the league title.
