Sunderland striker Ji Dong-Won could be on his way out of the club in January amid reported interest from Chunnam Dragons and Augsburg.
Ji, 21, was signed by Steve Bruce in the summer of 2011 from South Korean side Chunnam Dragons at a cost of £2.5 million, and scored twice in 19 games during his first season.
He has failed to make a single first-team appearance this season and Augsburg sporting director Jurgen Rollman said in November that the South Korea international was “a very interesting player”.
However, the Bundesliga side appear likely to face competition from the Dragons. Reports in the Korean media suggest an offer in the region of £1.1 million has already been tabled, although Sunderland are said to be keen to recoup much of the money they invested in the player.
Martin O’Neill told the Sunderland Echo earlier this month: “Augsburg have been in touch and would be interested in Ji, but they are not the only club who want to take him.”
