Postecoglou hasn't forgotten Roar rev-up

Melbourne Victory coach Ange Postecoglou has made it clear he is still less than impressed with the hysteria that the Roar whipped up on his return to Brisbane in October.

As the A-League champions prepare to confront their former coach on his new club Victory's territory on Saturday, Postecoglou hasn't forgotten the pre-match niggles from his former players and an underlying message ahead of that clash he blames on his old club.

"That was my first game at a ground where I've had some great memories," Postecoglou said on Friday.

"Now there was a couple of ways they could have addressed that as a football club. They chose to try and sell some more tickets."

The return was made even worse with the Roar smashing Postecoglou's Victory 5-0 at Suncorp Stadium.

But the Victory have become far more formidable under Postecoglou and sit in the top three, while the Roar are struggling near the foot of the table.

Postecoglou is relishing a crowd of 20,000 at AAMI Park in his corner for the rematch, with the Victory to have a full-strength side for the game, unlike their last meeting.

"Some of the fans weren't (too friendly) but they probably took their cue from the club," Postecoglou said.

"That's the message the club wanted to send out. Some supporters took that on board. Some supporters were great to me.

"The beauty for me is there'll be 20,000 who'll be behind me this week.

"It's a great part of being Melbourne Victory coach - you get a fair bit of support at your home ground."

Postecoglou will put Socceroos Archie Thompson and Mark Milligan straight back into the starting side, while left-back Adama Traore has recovered from injury and is set to play.
