Muller: Bayern the pinnacle

Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller believes there is no club bigger than Bayern Munich.

• What happened to Favre's Foals?

Muller, 23, made his breakthrough with Bayern during the 2009-10 season when the club won the Bundesliga title.

The Germany international has been in impressive form during the current campaign, scoring nine goals in 15 Bundesliga games and three more in the Champions League.

And with Bayern 11 points clear at the top of the table, Muller has outlined his commitment to the Allianz Arena.

"There is no club to step up from when you leave FC Bayern," the 23-year-old told spox.com. "You might stay on the same level.

"I am at home here. Nothing stirs me away from Bayern. If you play for Bayern and you are an important member of the team, than there almost is no better club."

Last season Muller only scored seven goals in 34 Bundesliga appearances, and that form saw him miss out on a starting berth in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Reflecting on his drop in form last term, he said: "I started brooding over it. Towards the end of the season I was on the bench during the decisive games. Being coach in Munich is not an easy job. He needs to make tough decisions, and bench players."
