QPR season a disaster - Fernandes

QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has labelled his club's season as "nothing short of a disaster'' and vowed to turn things around heading into the crucial Christmas period.

Rangers are unbeaten in the three matches under Harry Redknapp but Saturday's 2-2 draw at Wigan meant they are 16 games without victory this season - the longest winless run in Premier League history.

Next up is a clash with London neighbours Fulham and Fernandes is well aware their fortunes must change dramatically in the coming weeks if they are not to be cut adrift at the foot of the table.

Fernandes will return from Malaysia for the game and is desperate for a first win in the 2012/13 season. "Holiday today in Malaysia. Went early xmas shopping. But all I want is 3 points," he said on Twitter.

"It's been nothing short of a disaster. It's not where we are. But boy we put so much effort into this. Good honest effort.

"Keep your spirits up. Laughing smiling and being positive helps. Won't leave any stone unturned to try fix this. Tough as it is. Hopefully santa gives us some early presents.''
