Aberdeen hopeful Fraser will stay

Aberdeen manager Craig Brown is hopeful winger Ryan Fraser will reject interest from England to remain at Pittodrie.

The Daily Record reports that Wigan Athletic, Swansea City, Burnley and Huddersfield Town are all monitoring Fraser, 18, after his impressive start to the new season.

The Scotland Under-19 international will be out of contract in the summer, but Aberdeen have offered him an extension and, while more lucrative deals will be available elsewhere, Brown is upbeat about the situation.

He said in the Daily Record: “We’re confident Ryan will choose to stay but it’s now up to him.”

Fraser made his Aberdeen debut in October 2010.
