Ronald Koeman has reached an agreement with Feyenoord to extend his contract until the summer of 2014.
Koeman, 49, took charge of Feyenoord in July last year and led the club to second place in the Eredivisie last season.
The club's technical director, Martin van Geel, said negotiations over his new deal had been straightforward.
"From the outset, it was clear that Ronald and ourselves had the same intention: to extend the deal for another year," he told the club's official website. "If you both want the same thing, talks can be settled very quickly."
Feyenoord currently lie fifth in the table, four points behind leaders FC Twente.
