Quagliarella punished for rant
Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella has been fined for his outburst towards his coach Angelo Alessio after his substitution against AC Milan.
Quagliarella was taken off during the 1-0 loss at San Siro on Sunday and, as he walked back to the bench, he pulled his jacket over his mouth and spoke quite aggressively towards the assistant coach who is standing in for the suspended Antonio Conte.
Director general Beppe Marotta was asked about the incident during an interview with Sky Italia on Wednesday but declared the matter finished after talks between the player and club.
He said: "Fabio Quagliarella was fined, but only after a calm discussion with him. He was angry at being substituted in a game where the team were losing and he wanted to help his team-mates to get an equaliser. It was an anger that immediately passed."
