Hoilett: QPR must push on

Junior Hoilett has revealed that QPR manager Mark Hughes was absolutely furious with his players during half-time of the club's match at home to Southampton on Saturday.

• Blog: In-fighting comes to the fore

Hughes' "rollicking" didn't have the desired effect, though, as the team still lost 3-1 and remain winless in this season's Premier League. They are now bottom of the table and five points from safety.

"The first-half just wasn't good enough," Hoilett said. "We came out second to everything and that's not acceptable. We got a rollicking from the manager at half-time.

"We came out strong in the second-half, but we left ourselves with too much to do to get ourselves back into the game. We've just got to look to the next game now and push on from here.

"We're really disappointed and frustrated with how things are going at the moment, but we will work hard to put it right.

"I can understand the fans' frustrations. We're as frustrated as they are because we want to change this around and climb the table. We've got to stick together as a team."

Next up, however, is a daunting trip to Old Trafford where Manchester United will be eager to bounce back from a surprise defeat against Norwich.

"The next one is a tough one against Manchester United but we need to treat it like any other," Hoilett added.

"We need to work hard in training this week as a team and be ready for Old Trafford."
