Ibrahimovic keen to see De Rossi at PSG

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is hopeful Paris Saint-Germain can sign Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi.

De Rossi, who has spent the entirety of his professional career with Roma, has regularly been linked with a move away in recent times and, although he recently signed a contract extension, director general Franco Baldini recently said the club would consider any new offers for the 29-year-old.

Manchester City, who saw a bid turned down in the summer, are expected to lead the chase, and Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Wednesday that the midfielder's agent was in England, but Real Madrid and PSG are also thought to be potential suitors.

Ibrahimovic is eager to see his club enter the bidding for the Italy international.

"I think he would be a good fit for any team because he is a strong player," he is quoted as telling the media. "I hope that he does come here so that he can give us a big helping hand - that way we would become even stronger."

Roma fans placed a banner at the club's training ground on Wednesday urging Baldini, sporting director Walter Sabatini and coach Zdenek Zeman not to sell De Rossi.
