Ibrahimovic lauded for provider role

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was on the receiving end of numerous plaudits after he assisted all of Paris Saint-Germain's four goals in their Champions League victory over Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday night.

Ibrahimovic, 31, was the star of the show at the Parc des Princes as he played the key passes for Alex, Blaise Matuidi, Jeremy Menez and Guillaume Hoarau's goals.

The Sweden international, who signed for PSG from AC Milan in the summer, was delighted to turn provider to ensure his side are second in Group A with nine points secured after four matches.

"Even if I do not score, the key is to participate in team play," Ibrahimovic said after the victory. "A great player can play anywhere."

PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti was full of praise for the striker, stating: "It is the difference between a great player and a champion. He is a champion because he uses his skills to make the team play better."

Goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu said: "This is a great player. He is capable of scoring but also to play well and give assists."

Christophe Jallet, meanwhile, added: "He has the full range of abilities that great strikers possess. He can be unpredictable, and that can unbalance a defence."

Dinamo Zagreb boss Ante Cacic also hailed Ibrahimovic, highlighting his ability to execute the unpredictable. Cacic said: "Ibrahimovic, he sees the game - some things that others do not see."
