Toulouse midfielder Franck Tabanou was watched by a scout from Juventus during Sunday's Ligue 1 match against Bordeaux.
Tabanou, 23, is under contract with Toulouse until 2015, but that has not stopped the Serie A champions taking an interest in him during Sunday's 1-0 defeat at the Stade Chaban-Delmas.
The former France Under-21 international said he wants to achieve somethingwith the southern club before moving elsewhere.
"Toulouse trained me, I have great respect for the club," he told French radio station RMC. "I'll try to leave my mark before, I hope, going to a bigger club.
"My record (this season) is four goals and five assists. I have short-term and long-term goals like every player, but personal goals are achieved through the team. If we stay up, it opens more doors."
When asked about his prospects of playing for the national team, Tabanou said it was an ambition for him but that he would struggle for chances as long as Franck Ribery was around.
"It's a goal for me, as for many players," he added. "But I have a player in my position is perhaps the best in the world.
"The blue door, everyone wants to open it, but it takes work to deserve this place.
