Lyon climb up to third

Lyon moved within a point of the Ligue 1 summit with a 5-2 victory over Bastia in a madcap game at the Stade Gerland.

• Sat: PSG suffer shock loss

Seven different goalscorers, three penalties and two red cards made for an entertaining afternoon for all present, the hosts squandering a two-goal lead before pulling ahead again in the second half.

Maxime Gonalons and Alexandre Lacazette put Lyon in control but Wahbi Khazri and Jerome Rothen pulled Bastia level, the latter with a spot-kick after Dejan Lovren was sent off.

Lisandro Lopez restored Lyon's lead from 12 yards after Fethi Harek was dismissed and Jimmy Briand and Steed Malbranque scored in stoppage time, the latter from the spot, to give the scoreline a misleadingly one-sided look.

Marseille moved level on points with Paris St Germain at the top with a game in hand as brothers Andre and Jordan Ayew guided them to a 2-0 victory at Ajaccio.

Ligue 1 leaders PSG had gone down to a surprise home defeat by St Etienne on Saturday and Marseille took full advantage although the capital side still have a better goal difference.

For Ajaccio it was a first home defeat of the season and they fell behind in the 55th minute when Charles Kabore nodded the ball back into the area, Andre Ayew getting there first and heading beyond Guillermo Ochoa.

With just three minutes left Marseille sealed victory. Mathieu Valbuena passed to Jordan Ayew who then drilled home from 12 yards into the bottom left-hand corner.

Yoan Gouffran grabbed a late winner as Bordeaux denied Toulouse the chance to claim a share of the leadership by securing a 1-0 victory.

Gouffran settled a low-key La Garonne derby with a smart finish three minutes from time against a Toulouse side which offered little going forward.

The visitors would have moved level on 22 points with Paris St Germain and Marseille with a win but that never seemed likely as they turned in a limp display which would have infuriated coach Alain Casanova.
