Barzagli holds Milito fear

Andrea Barzagli has pinpointed Inter striker Diego Milito as the biggest threat to Juventus' unbeaten run in Serie A.

• Blog: The derby d'Italia rivalry
•  Moratti struck by Juve win
•  Blog: Pogba stars

The two sides meet this weekend in a game dubbed the Derby of Italy which has become one of the most hotly contested rivalries on the peninsula. And given the form and league position of both sides it takes on even greater significance than usual this time.

Unbeaten in 49 league matches, Juventus have dominated domestically since the arrival of Antonio Conte last summer but defender Barzagli believes in Milito, Inter have a genuine threat to that run.

"I am afraid of Diego Milito, he is a complete striker, one of the strongest in Europe," he told Sky Italia. "He does not miss a thing."

The Italian international also backed Inter's decision to give a young coach a chance, as well as dismissing the importance of the match at this early stage of the season.

"Inter are a worthy threat," Barzagli said, "Andrea Stramaccioni is a good coach, and I think it's right that a young coach with good ideas is getting a chance.

"I don't think the match can be considered a crucial one at this stage of the season. The Nerazzurri can definitely challenge for the title but we are a group that believes in itself.

"We always try to keep our feet on the ground and for a lot of us it has been a tough start, what with the Champions League as well. Saying that, I hope that we can go on and dominate."

Meanwhile, Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has talked up his side's chances, claiming they are back where they belong – challenging at the top of the league.

"This is an important match and different from the others but if we hadn't done well in our fixtures so far then this appointment would not be so crucial," he told Sport MediaSet.

"It is too early to talk about the Scudetto, but Inter are back where we belong; fighting for the top places. Clearly the rivalry that comes with the Derby d'Italia is further motivation to do well.

"It's a game you feel more than the others but I don't think that represents an advantage for either side. Who will win on Saturday? I hope Inter, that is what we want and right now there is absolutely nothing else in our minds."
