Manchester City have recalled Abdul Razak from his loan spell at Charlton to provide cover for their injury-hit midfield.
City are without Javi Garcia, who has a thigh problem, plus Jack Rodwell and David Silva, who both have hamstring injuries.
And while all could be back soon, with Silva and Garcia possibly available for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Ajax, the Premier League champions have brought the Ivory Coast international back from the Valley.
Razak, 19, only made two appearances for Charlton but was scheduled to be with the Championship club until January.
His only City appearance this season came in the 4-2 Capital One Cup defeat to Aston Villa.
Another teenage midfielder, 17-year-old George Evans, was on the bench for Saturday's 1-0 win over Swansea.
