Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard will be sidelined for two weeks following the calf strain he picked up in Chelsea's 2-1 Champions League defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.
Lampard, 34, will miss the Premier League and Capital One Cup clashes with Manchester United as well as the trip to Swansea and return fixture with Shakhtar.
The England international was forced to limp off injured early on in Tuesday's game with a recurrence of the problem that kept him out of Euro 2012.
Lampard could also miss his country's friendly with Sweden in Stockholm on November 14 which may tempt Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson to recall Jack Wilshere, who is making his long-awaited comeback from the sidelines.
The injury comes at a frustrating time for the former West Ham man, who has found it tough to keep his starting place of late, under Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo.
