Paris Saint-Germain forward Nene is to miss this week's Champions League meeting with Dinamo Zagreb after undergoing an operation on his face.
Nene, 31, fracture his cheekbone in PSG's 1-0 win over Stade de Reims at the weekend and was replaced by Jeremy Menez at half-time.
It has not been confirmed how long the Brazilian will be sidelined for, but it is reported he could be out for three to six weeks.
PSG have announced the procedure "went well" and that a clearer timescale of his absence will be confirmed in due course.
Nene said: "Now, I'm fine. But yesterday, I felt a horrible pain, the biggest of my life. The operation was successful and the doctors made three plates to repair the bone."
