Fluminense lead cut by Atletico Mineiro
Fluminense had their lead at the top of the Campeonato Brasileiro cut to six points after a thrilling top-of-the-table clash ended 3-2 defeat at local rivals Atletico Mineiro.
The league leaders went ahead 11 minutes into the second half through Wellington Nem, only for Jo to level for the hosts with 20 minutes remaining.
Jo then scored a second, which was cancelled out by Fred, but Leonardo Silva struck in the final minute to hand victory to the Belo Horizonte club.
Santos lost to Ponte Preta 1-0 courtesy of Gedeao de Paiva's early winner while Marcos Gonzalez scored for Flamengo to see them beat Sao Paulo by the same scoreline.
Spot Recife beat bottom side Atletico Goianiense 1-0 thanks to Gabriel Marquinhos' 49th-minute strike, while their neighbours Nautico Recife drew 0-0 with Portuguesa.
