Rennes general manager Pierre Dreossi has said the club will meet with Yann M'Vila and Chris Mavinga after they were among the five players that attended a nightclub on the eve of France Under-21s' match this week.
M'Vila and Mavinga, along with Antoine Griezmann, Mbaye Niang and Wissam Ben Yedder, went out in Paris before the second leg of their 2013 European Championship qualifier against Norway, which France U21s went on to lose 5-3, ending their hopes of qualification.
Dreossi said: "This can't be tolerated. We mustn't let this go," before adding that he will meet with M'Vila and Mavingaon on Friday "to get an honest explanation, because this is a lack of respect for football, for the team and also for Rennes."
The French Football Federation president, Noel Le Graet, confirmed to RMC that "an investigation is already open about this case".
Former Auxerre and Lens coach Guy Roux was particularly angered by the players' action, calling them "not stupid but just b*****ds". He added: "It's a total disgrace, they slammed all the values, values of the games togetherness and patriotism."
