The French Football Federation has opened disciplinary proceedings against five members of its Under-21 squad, including Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila.
M'Vila and team-mates Chris Mavinga, Wissam Ben Yedder, Antoine Griezmann, and Mbaye Niang were charged after reports emerged they were seen in a Paris nightclub 48 hours before the second leg of their 2013 European Championship play-off against Norway.
French federation president Noel Le Graet said: "We know the names of the players who went out. An investigation is open.
"When you have two games to play, climb the wall and escape 48 hours before the second appears to me as an improper conduct."
France, leading 1-0 from the first leg, lost the tie 5-4 on aggregate after a shambolic performance in Drammen.
The result led to the sacking of coach Erick Mombaerts and now the FFF has turned its attention to the players, who reportedly booked taxis for the 200-kilometre journey to from their training camp o the capital before returning the following morning.
