Neymar: Believe me, I'm staying in Brazil

Santos and Brazil starlet Neymar has hit back over ongoing reports linking him with Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG and Chelsea, insisting he will remain in Brazil until 2014.

Neymar has earned praise from Europe for his performances at club and international level, but has maintained his desire is to stay in his homeland until after the World Cup.

Speculation over a possible exit has been fuelled in recent weeks due to Santos falling out with agency DIS, who own 40% of Neymar's economic rights. The feud started with Ganso's move from Santos to rivals Sao Paulo, but despite this, Neymar claims he will decide his own future when he is ready.

"DIS may still have some of my rights, as you know, but they don't have responsibility for my life," Neymar said. "Those who control my life are me and my dad.

"From the moment you hear from my mouth, or from my dad's mouth that I will leave, then you can start to believe it."

When pressed further on the reported interest of Europe's elite clubs Neymar said: "There are always rumours and I am always saying 'no, I'm staying'. Then, you guys always say I'm leaving. So, please, believe me for once."

Wednesday's 2-2 draw with second-placed Atletico Mineiro was the 20-year-old's 200th game for Santos.
