Ayew exit news to him

Marseille President Vincent Labrune has revealed Andre Ayew could be on his way out of the club in January, much to the surprise of the winger.

Owner Margarita Louis-Dreyfus is in desperate need to balance the club's books by 2013 and with a deficit of currently €8 million, star players Ayew, 22, and Loic Remy, who have both attracted interest from English clubs in the past, could be offloaded due to having release clauses in their contracts.

Though despite such plans, Labrune has denied there has been any concrete interest as of yet.

"It's just fiction for now," he told Le Journal du Dimanche.

However, Ayew, who has yet to score this season, has revealed the exit stories are news to him, insisting he is fully committed to the Marseille cause.

"I didn't know about that,'' he said. ''I'm here [in Marseille] and pleased to be. But if the club wants to do some things, we are going to sit around a table and discuss with the president to find a solution.

"But I repeat, I'm here and I'm focused at 200% with Marseille."

Any possible transfer negotiations for Ayew could be disrupted by his participation, along with brother Jordan, in the African Cup of Nations for Ghana in January.

Marseille have been linked with a move for Steaua Bucarest's Alexandru Chipciu to replace the pair during this period.
