Robben injury woe continues

Arjen Robben is set to miss Bayern Munich's Bundesliga match against Dusseldorf this weekend as his spell on the sidelines continues.

•  Demichelis: Bayern can win UCL

The Dutch star has now been unavailable for selection with muscular problems for three weeks. During the international break Robben, 28, had hoped to return to training but was forced to abandon a training session last Thursday.

He has been training in isolation since and received treatment for the injury on Monday, TZ Munich reports. "It's not a real problem Arjen has," team doctor Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt told the paper. "He is currently running without the ball. It sometimes happens that a healing process is delayed. I have no worries about that."

The injury-prone winger, labelled 'the man made out of glass' during his Madrid days, will be joined in the stands at Dusseldorf by Mario Gomez, who has not played a single match this season after undergoing ankle surgery before the start of the season. When Gomez, 27, underwent surgery, club doctor Muller-Wohlfahrt predicted that he would be back in training within three weeks and back on the pitch in six.

In late September he explained that Bayern were not willing to take any risks over the Germany international's fitness and would wait until "Gomez can get back on the pitch without any risks", warning, "you have to be cautious." On Monday Gomez trained individually with Bayern fitness coach Thomas Wilhelm.
