Lewandowski focused on Dortmund

Robert Lewandowski has insisted he has no desire to leave Borussia Dortmund following reports that Manchester United are lining up a bid to sign him.

• Lewandowski unclear over future

Lewandowski, 24, has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and in the summer added to the speculation when telling Polish television station TVP that he was hopeful a transfer to England "happens sometime".

Earlier this month, the Daily Telegraph reported that United were monitoring his situation due to uncertainty over Javier Hernandez's future at Old Trafford, and Sir Alex Ferguson was present for Dortmund's recent 1-1 draw against Manchester City in the Champions League.

However, Lewandowski, whose current deal expires in 2014, appears to have little interest in leaving the German champions for the time being.

"I didn't even know Sir Alex Ferguson was in the stands against City but it wouldn't influence me at all. I haven't got plans to change clubs," he was quoted as saying on skysports.com. "I have a contract with Borussia and I focus on that. I focus on being at my best in every single match. I want to play the best season of my career."

Even so, his long-term future remains uncertain, and he is not ruling out a future move to the Premier League.

"I haven't had the chance to play in England but maybe, one day," he said. "What I like about British football is that it is fast and hard. For sure it would be interesting but there's no straight answer for the moment."
