Real Madrid and Barcelona have lent out 29 of their players this week to respective national teams for 2014 World Cup qualifying matches, 13 of them for Spain's matches against Belarus on Friday and France next Tuesday.
Spain's roster includes Real players Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Alvaro Arbeola, Raul Albiol and Xabi Alonso as well as Barcelona players Victor Valdes, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas, Pedro Rodriguez and David Villa.
In all, 16 of Real Madrid's players will see action with their respective countries, while 13 from Barcelona will do the same, including Argentina captain Lionel Messi.
Eight South American players are on Real Madrid or Barcelona: Argentina has Messi and Javier Mascherano (Barcelona) as well as Angel Di Maria and Gonzalo Higuain (Real Madrid). Brazil has Marcelo, Kaka (Real Madrid) and Adriano (Barcelona) while Barca's Alexis Sanchez plays for Chile.
Barcelona's Alex Song will play for Cameroon when they take on Colombia on Oct. 16 in a friendly.
