Raymond Domenech to release memoirs

Former France coach Raymond Domenech is to release a book based on the diary he kept during his spell in charge of the national team between 2004 and 2010.

Domenech's reign, which encompassed controversial moments including a player mutiny during the 2010 World Cup, will be chronicled in the book, to be called All Alone.

The AFP news agency said the book - the French title of which is Tout Seul - will reveal how 60-year-old Domenech "had to fight on many fronts with players, managers, and journalists".

It said the book would "reveal his struggles with Zinedine Zidane, Nicolas Anelka, Thierry Henry or younger players from a lost generation."

The book will include a selection of photographs, and promises "surprises and revelations" about incidents including the player mutiny.

Publishers say Domenech will provide "a sincere testimony, without jargon or desire to minimise his own mistakes".
