Fernandes continues to back Hughes

QPR owner Tony Fernandes has told ESPN that he is not ready to push the panic button despite fans calling for Harry Redknapp to replace Mark Hughes after another defeat at West Brom.

• Hughes: I'm right man for the job
• West Brom 3-2 QPR

The 3-2 reverse at the Hawthorns left QPR rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table and Hughes has yet to oversee a league victory yet this season despite a massive summer outlay on new players.

With the likes of Esteban Granero and Jullio Cesar arriving at Loftus Road from Real Madrid and Inter Milan respectively during the summer, big things were expected of QPR.

However, Hughes has been unable to get his new signings to gel and supporters have begun to question whether former Spurs boss Redknapp might be a better option at the Rs helm.

For Fernandes, though, there is no question that Hughes is the right man and the Malaysian tycoon insists "it's looking fine" for the QPR boss.

Fernandes believes a series of injuries and bad luck have haunted Hughes at the start of the season, and the QPR owner plans to stick with him during the long international break expecting a change of fortune when the Premier League resumes.

"For all those calling for change this is the team that that outplayed spurs gave chelsea a damm good game and you want change. No way," Fernandes tweeted on Sunday.

"For all QPR fans. Fans who analyse properly. I am not changing anything. And all shareholders agree. No team except the first game has outplayed us. We need a consistent 4 defenders not changing every week esp left and right back. Mark is the right man."
