Celtic's Forster to get England call
Roy Hodgson will select Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster in his England squad for the World Cup qualifying games against San Marino and Poland, ESPN can reveal.
With Birmingham's Jack Butland having been called up by Stuart Pearce for the Under-21s, Hodgson has turned to Forster. An England source told ESPN: "Yes, Fraser Forster is in the squad."
Forster, 24, who began his career at Newcastle United and spent time on loan at Norwich and Celtic before joining the Scottish champions on a permanent basis, will join up with Manchester City's Joe Hart and Norwich's John Ruddy.
England goalkeeping coach Ray Clemence saw him keep a clean sheet on his Champions League debut at home to Benfica a fortnight ago - but Forster was at fault for Spartak Moscow's second goal in the next group game, which Celtic won 3-2.
Meanwhile, Spurs winger Aaron Lennon is expected to be in the squad after last playing for England against Algeria two and a half years ago.
