Hulse joins Charlton on loan from QPR

Charlton Athletic have signed striker Rob Hulse on a three-month loan deal from QPR.

Hulse, 32, played just 81 minutes for the Rs last season and has not featured at all in the current campaign having been left out of the club's 25-man Premier League squad.

The former Derby and Leeds frontman appears to have no future at Loftus Road under Mark Hughes and has moved across London in search of first-team football at Charlton, where he will cover injured top scorer Yann Kermorgant.

Addick's boss Chris Powell told the club's official website: "We have lost Yann long-term, and Rob will give us that strength and that Championship know-how and experience up top.

"Things haven't worked out for him at QPR but he's here for three months and I'm sure he will do very well here, enhance our squad and remind people that he's a good player.

"We've seen him recently and I really hope he comes in and does well for us.''

Hulse goes straight into Charlton's squad for Wednesday's Championship clash with Watford at The Valley.
