Bayern win as Dortmund are held

Bayern Munich made it five wins out of five at the start of the Bundesliga season with a comfortable 3-0 win over Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena.

Jupp Heynckes' side were even able to take it easy in a one-sided game after Bastian Schweinsteiger put them in front midway through the first half.

Two headed goals from former Wolfsburg striker Mario Mandzukic in the second half sealed all three points for Bayern, who moved two points clear at the top of the table with their seventh win out of seven in all competitions.

Eintracht Frankfurt extended their unbeaten start to the season to five games with a dramatic 3-3 draw against defending champions Borussia Dortmund.

Dortmund, who lost their first game in 32 at the weekend, looked on course to bounce back when goals from Lukasz Piszczek and Marco Reus gave them a two-goal lead after 28 minutes.

Two goals in as many minutes from Stefan Aigner and Takashi Inui early in the second half brought Frankfurt level before Mario Gotze restored Dortmund's lead in the 54th minute.

Anderson then equalised again in the 73rd minute to earn Frankfurt a point and keep them in second place behind Bayern Munich at the top of the table with 13 points from their first five games back in the top flight.

Schalke were less than convincing but still grabbed a comfortable 3-0 home victory over Mainz to remain flying high near the top of the table.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 21st minute through a Jefferson Farfan penalty before Lewis Holtby and Teemu Pukki added further goals in the last nine minutes to seal the win.

Schalke move on to 10 points - five behind leaders Bayern Munich - while Mainz remain in the lower third of the table with four points.

Two goals within seven minutes were enough for promoted side Fortuna Dusseldorf to continue their strong season with a 2-0 win at Greuther Fuerth and remain the only Bundesliga club not to have let in a goal.

Oliver Fink gave Dusseldorf the lead in the 26th minute and Ken Ilsoe doubled the advantage after 33 minutes for the win.
