Toulouse 'keeper reflects on 'magical' goal

Toulouse goalkeeper Ali Ahamada has said scoring a dramatic equaliser against Rennes at the weekend was a "magical moment".

• Ligue 1 review

Ahamada, 21, went forward in the dying moments of the Ligue 1 game to score a header and clinch a point as the game ended 2-2.

The Frenchman became the first shot-stopper to score in France since Nancy's Gregory Wimbee netted in 1996.

Reflecting on the goal, Ahamada said: "I had an image in my head that I was going to score. I had the will and determination to equalise. I imagined trying to score and celebrate.

"I imagined that, on this last attack, I go forward, and Ben Yedder puts in the free kick. I place myself at the far post, following the advice of Serge Aurier, and then I score.

"It was a magical moment. We all dream of one day scoring. For this little dream to come true, it's pretty special - to have enjoyed it with my team-mates and the public. That will remain etched in my memory."
