Santos set sights on Kaka
Brazilian side Santos are looking to sign unsettled Real Madrid midfielder Kaka, according to coach Muricy Ramalho.
The club are in their centenary year and have managed to keep star player Neymar, while moving Ganso on to Sao Paulo. Now the Peixe are looking for a new midfielder and Ramalho is targeting some of the world's best.
"Who would have thought that Sao Paulo could pay that kind of money for Ganso? Anything is possible. Kaka is an option, and so are Diego and Robinho," the Santos coach told a press conference.
"They are three important players. As I said, anything can happen. It is not just an economical question, but we have to take other aspects into account as well. And we have to act quick.
"We have to support the players we already have here, but it would be good to bring in players who can add something to the team."
Kaka, 30, saw a move to former club AC Milan collapse this summer over financial demands while his wife revealed that he would only consider a move back to Brazil.
Both Diego and Robinho are former Santos players and have been repeatedly linked with a return, although the club sit in mid-table after a disappointing season.
