PSG in talks over new sponsorship deal

Paris Saint-Germain are in "advanced talks" over a new sponsorship deal with a Qatari bank, according to reports in France.

It is believed the Qatar National Bank, already a sponsor of the big-spending Qatari-owned club, is on the verge of agreeing a bigger deal.

If concluded, the deal would see the bank's name replace Fly Emirates on the club's shirts and would also include a naming rights deal for the Parc des Princes stadium.

According to AFP, the contract would be worth around €100 million-a-year.

PSG did not comment on the reports, but the deal could be a way of countering UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules after the club spent around €200 million on transfers since being taken over by Qatar Sport Investment in 2011.

"We'll follow the rules," chairman Nasser el-Khelaifi said recently. "Mr Platini [UEFA's president] said we'll need to be creative. We have a few ideas."
