Digne plays down Prem Lge talk

Lille left-back Lucas Digne has played down speculation regarding his future by stressing he is focused on his current club.

Digne, 19, has been tipped for a bright future after impressing for Lille last season and making a promising start to the new campaign.

Chelsea have been mooted as potential suitors, as have Manchester United, but the defender has confirmed his commitment to Grand Stade Lille Metropole.

He told L'Equipe: "It's nice (the reported interest), but I am focused. Lille is where my heart is.

"I have a contract until 2016 and I did not want to leave the club. Everything is good here and there is a real danger in trying to leave too early.

"Personally, I hear about stories every day here. But for each match, I have to prove my level. Many players played when they were young and then disappeared. I want to have a long career."
