Samsung renew Chelsea shirt deal
Chelsea have announced the renewal of their shirt sponsorship deal with electronics giant Samsung until the end of the 2014-15 season.
South Korean company Samsung opted to renew the contract, thought to be worth around £18 million a year, after the London club lifted the Champions League trophy against Bayern Munich last season.
"Samsung have exercised their right to extend their deal, which will see them remain as a premium partner of the club until the end of May 2015," a Chelsea spokesman said.
Samsung's decision to extend its contract with the Blues follows news that US carmaker General Motors will sponsor Manchester United's shirts from 2014 in an arrangement believed to be worth around £50 million a season.
