Malaga and Mallorca top

Malaga continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 1-0 victory at Real Zaragoza thanks to Nacho Camacho's second-half header.

The hosts had the better of the play before the break but were made to rue a glaring miss by Ndri Romaric, who shot wide from 12 yards with the goal gaping.

Despite continuing to have less of the ball, Malaga posed the greater threat after half-time and went ahead on 55 minutes when Camacho beat Roberto to Eliseu's cross to head home.

Real Mallorca joined Malaga at the top of the table as Victor's second-half header gave them a 1-0 win over Real Sociedad.

Mallorca had to wait until the 75th minute until they broke down a stubborn Sociedad rearguard when Victor stooped to head in Javi Marquez's cross.

The Islanders almost immediately relinquished their hard-fought lead, however, with debutant Anderson Conceicao blocking Xabi Prieto's goalbound shot off the line moments later.

Mallorca's win maintained their unbeaten start and moved them top on seven points, although they could be passed by a trio of clubs, headed by Barcelona, on Sunday.

Promoted Deportivo La Coruna continued their promising start to life back in the top flight with a 1-1 home draw against a Getafe side who last weekend beat reigning champions Real Madrid.

Riki gave Depor a flying start when he netted after just six minutes against his former club but Getafe hit back to claim a share of the points when Abdelaziz Barrada, the match-winner against Madrid, equalised in the 26th minute.

The result leaves Depor still unbeaten with five points from three matches, while Getafe have one point less.

Second-half goals from Iago Aspas and Mario Bermejo were enough to hand Celta Vigo their first top-flight win for five years - but their 2-0 win was Osasuna's third consecutive loss.

The hosts dominated and made the breakthrough when Augusto Fernandez's cross was flicked home by Aspas 21 minutes from time.

Alejandro Arribas was then dismissed for a second bookable offence and Celta made their one man advantage count in stoppage time when Bermejo rolled in the second.
