Genoa have signed striker Marco Borriello on loan from Roma.
Borriello, 30, spent last season on loan with Juventus as the club claimed Serie A success but he failed to win a permanent move.
New Roma boss Zdenek Zeman had advised him that he would not be part of his plans for this season, and he has now made the switch to Genoa. He had previously played for the port club during the 2007-08 season, when he scored a career high 19 goals.
He will wear the same squad number, 22, as he did that season and, in a message on their website, the Rossoblu said they "are honoured that our striker has returned".
