Galliani looking to complete Kaka deal

AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has told Italian television he will fly to Madrid next week in order to finally seal a deal to bring Kaka back to the club.

Kaka, 30, has been linked with a return to Milan all summer as the Rossoneri look to recapture the player they sold to Real Madrid for a phenomenal €65 million fee in 2009, but injury has prevented the former World Player of the Year from showing anything like his best form in the Spanish capital.

It has been reported that Jose Mourinho has set Wednesday as the deadline for a decision on Kaka's future, a move which appears to have prompted immediate action from Galliani with the Milan vice-president telling Sky Italia: "I will fly to Madrid over the next few days and we'll see what happens."

Mourinho apparently sees no role for the Brazilian, a point he made clear after he left him out of the side for the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup against Barcelona, as a move for Tottenham's Luka Modric moves closer.

The Real Madrid coach told reporters at his post-match press conference "there was no room for him [Kaka]" with the midfield options he has this season.
