Everton midfielder Darron Gibson is wary of a Manchester United side wanting revenge as their Premier League season kicks off.
Gibson, who left United for Goodison Park in January, says his former team-mates are still upset about the way their title hopes were derailed by Everton last season.
United were five points clear at the top of the Premier League with four games left when the two sides met at Old Trafford in April, but let a two-goal lead slip in the final seven minutes to draw 4-4.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side ended up losing the title to Manchester City on goal difference, and begin their attempt to regain it at Goodison Park.
Republic of Ireland international Gibson, 24, told the Daily Star: "It makes it even bigger, given what we did at Old Trafford last season, and everyone is excited. United try to win every game but maybe there is a bit of anger there because the game against us lost them the league really. But we'll go out and try to get the right result."
